SVIPDAGR was born in early 2013 from the always restless minds of its two creators Völundr (guitar and bass) and Funedëim (vocals and guitar arrangements), which gave form and life to the project SVIPDAGR, developing their musical interests to the point of turning the project into a full-fledged band.
Its country of origin is Spain, and thanks to new technologies, 900 kms away separating its two members didn’t prevent subsequent compositions and recordings are coordinated successfully. The test is more than justified in his new and first work "Black Verses".
Black Metal is the dark path in to follow, but this path, some paths are added again, enrich and magnifying SVIPDAGR music, creating a style very stale and old-school Black Metal.
Black Metal without excessive additives, natural, direct, simple from an instrumental point of view but in turn, the interesting complex nuances that hide their tracks: raw guitars and dark at times, subtle and epic in others, a low throbbing, a battery thunderous and meritorious, with a personal voice in the classic style. This Black Metal is accompanied by an adequate and appropriate atmosphere, conveying the essence so purely Black Metal that has minimal resources. Perhaps this is where the key file the essence, simplicity and passion transmitted, with the humility of the environment in which it’s developed. They’re songs without keyboards, with great force and melody with acoustic parts rigor and viking epic choruses and expressed anger overflowed in each of their subjects.
The composition of the songs that built their first work is carried out in a period of about 6 months. Subsequently, he joined the hyperactive SVIPDAGR drummer Thanatos (CAULDRON, OLD BLOOD, CENDRES, EARTH MANTLE...) ending to flesh out the songs SVIPDAGR enforcement and disciplinary form. As the drums are ready, the three members of SVIPDAGR begin recording in Funehome Studies and the album "Black Verses" takes form and colour, a black colour black as the very mouth of hell.
In early September, SVIPDAGR got in touch with Xtreem Music which immediately shown interest in collaborating with the band for the release, promotion and distribution of “Black Vereses” being finally released in mid October.
