In Autumn 2002 a Thrash Metal project was born under the name of DEATHREAT and in November 2003 they recorded their first demo at Immortal Studios that was well received by the local scene. By then, the band was formed by Sascha (vocals/guitar), Mister (guitar), Pio (bass) and Billy (drums). After that, due to personal reasons and line-up changes, the band decided to split.
In November 2005 the old DEATHREAT members decided to continue with what they started not leaving such a good proyect to bet forgiven. This new epoch had changes not only in the musical camp (compositions are now more mature and with more melodies) but also in the line-up and band's name. The spot of billy was taken by Toni and that band was renamed as DEATH OVER THREAT.
Early summer 2007 sees the return of the band to the studios of Fernando Asensi (Gothmog, Opera Magna, Zarpa, Gothmog...) to record 9 songs featuring some old tunes as well as new ones. In 2008 with the band's feature on the SPAIN KILLS compilation, the band sent this recording to XTREEM MUSIC who showed interest in releasing this stuff so a contract was signed for the release of "Sangre" (Blood), their debut full length album in March 2009. With this album, DEATH OVER THREAT gives their first important step to become one of the most promising Thrash metal acts in the spanish scene as well as trying to spread their music around the world.
