Pioneers of the Black Metal sung in Spanish, CRYING BLOOD was formed at the end of 1998 in Alcalá de Henares (Madrid). The first members, among which outstands Mario Chacón or Iván Manzano (Muro, Silver Fist...), came from so varied styles as Thrash Metal, Industrial, through Heavy, Death or Black, style with the one which CRYING BLOOD will be identified. In fact, in their music you will be able to find influences that go from same Iron Maiden or Slayer, going by the 80's & 90's Thrash Metal to melodic Black Metal (Emperor, DarkThrone, Cradle of Filth, Dimmu Borgir or The Kovenant). And always with a great appearance, diversity and melodies of keyboards.
The history of the group has been affected by successive line-up changes throughout the time. In spite of it the band was always strengthened and they've been able to record 3 albums so far, as well as a couple of live recordings in digital format. The studio works are "Ritual of Blood" (1999) and "Requiem" (2004). This last received excellent critical at national and international (with great distribution for South America) level and you boosted the band to the point of being mentioned, although Black Metal is considered a minority genre in Spain, as second revelation group of the year in the 6ª edition of the renowned Excalibur-Metal awards in the category of national Rock.
After this, CRYING BLOOD was able to get konown within the national extreme Metalscene, and the composition of the songs begins for the following album, alternating in turn with direct for the promotion of "Requiem", even being able support some international mythic bands as ANCIENT RITES or ANCIENT recently. Four years later, the work "Animae Damnatae" was created. Recorded entirely in the famed studios VRS of Madrid, "Animae Damnatae" has an approximate length of 55 minutes and was released by spanish label Xtreem Music in September 2009.
With this work CRYING BLOOD expects to be stablished as one of the main forces in the national extreme Metal scene. This disc is be the natural evolution of the band toward more comprehensive fields both musically and in populatiry, trusting that this one will become a reference within its genre.
