SETGE is a band from Barcelona, its music is based on Death Metal and Black Metal styles, but also other styles derived from Heavy Metal. In February 2006 J. Luis Gonzalez (Drummer), a very talented music and ex-member from other bands like Deathless, Sandalinas, Quivira and Killing Machine (a tribute band from the legendaries Judas Priest) and Aamon (Singer) ex-member from the band Wintermoon decided to form a new band.
In the early months a few musicians passed through the band. Names like Alvaro C. Guillén (Cryogen), Miquel Llodrà (Deathless), David Saavedra (Lux Divina), Christian C. (La Matanza), but for different reasons didn't remain in the band. At the middle of that year Pablo Seijo (bass) ex-member from Quivira and the Venezuelan Alexander Nuñez (guitar) who played in the band Noxious from his country were recruited and started to write new songs.
It wasn't 'til January 2007 when the band completed a full circle. Victor Casado (guitar) an old Jose's friend with whom he shared the stage with the band Sandalinas, became a new member of the band. Then the band debuted in the extreme music festival Kanya a Sant Climent IV in March 3rd, 2007. But Victor Casado wasn't able to play that event so Toni Phackner (Nada Suitte) replaced him for that night. It was also the night when Pablo Seijo quit the band and Xavi Brossa (Caustic) accepted the vacancy. With the new line-up the band kept writing new stuff and playing in various venues and festivals all over the country.
It wasn't until September '08 when the band recorded their debut album "Cecs de Rabia, Cecs de Dolor" at famous local Ax Studios which was later self-released in November '09 on a very small CD-R pressing just to sell on their shows. At the beggining of 2009 summer Xavi Brossa decided to leave the band in a friendly way and he was subsituted by J. Luis "Johanson" Castillo (Resilence) who debuted as new member of the band at the Raventfest '09 in Barcelona.
In early 2010, the band agreed with XTREEM MUSIC the official release of this album for summer of the same year, but due to some line-up changes, this release was delayed until December. Now with the official release of their album, SETGE feels stronger and more motivated than ever to spread their music not only through Spain, but also abroad!!
