This is the debut album from Los Angeles' DÉTENTE
"Recognize No Authority".
Formed back in 1984, this
re-issue celebrates the 30th anniversary of the
band and includes absolutely all demos from DÉTENTE
plus two unreleased songs taken from live &
rehearsal recordings, and the two CATALEPSY demos,
a side band from some members, which sounded basically
the same as DÉTENTE. This release
has been approved and directed by former bass
player Steve Hochheiser and means the one and
only band's demo & discography from the 80's,
contradicting some websites like Metal-Archives.com
whose information is wrong.
"Recognize No
Authority" was originally released in
1986 through Roadrunner Records in the US and
Metal Blade in Europe. Leaded by female vocalist
Dawn Crosby (rip), the band quickly gained a status
within the Thrash Metal scene with their unique
style aside from the typical bands from these
times. However, this success wasn't well managed
by the band members back then and this leaded
to creating a side-band (CATALEPSY) and even disbanding
after a 4th demo in '89. Dawn Crosby later formed
FEAR OF GOD with whom she recorded two albums
before dying in '96.
This
release will come in form of a 2-CD containing
two bonus on CD1 with re-recorded versions of
two album tracks (one being the instrumental track
"Catalepsy" but here with original lyrics),
made in 2010 and sung by current vocalist Tiina
Teal. On CD2 there's 19 songs from the 4 band's
demos recorded in '84, '87 & '89 plus two
unreleased songs recorded live & rehearsal
in '85 and the 2 only demos by CATALEPSY from
'87 & '88. All songs comes with remastered
sound and packed with a complete presentation
full of band photos, flyers, lyrics and extensive
liner notes from Steve Hochheiser. There will
be also a limited run of T-Shirts that will be

de SIEMPRE!! Un jodido clásico!! Se trata del álbum
debut de la banda de Los Angeles DÉTENTE
"Recognize No Authority".
Formados allá por
1984, esta re-edición celebra el 30º aniversario
de la banda e incluye absolutamente todas las demos
de DÉTENTE además de dos temas inéditos extraídos
de grabaciones de directo y ensayos, así como las
dos demos de CATALEPSY, una banda paralela de varios
de sus miembros, que sonaba básicamente igual que
DÉTENTE. Esta edición ha sido aprobada y
dirigida por el bajista original Steve Hochheiser
y supone la única demo-discografía de la banda de
los '80, contradiciendo a páginas como Metal-Archives.com
cuya información es errónea.
"Recognize No Authority"
fue originalmente editado en 1986 a través de Roadrunner
en USA y Metal Blade en Europa. Liderados por la

se ganó un estatus dentro de la escena Thrash Metal
con su único estilo aparte de las típicas bandas

banda paralela (CATALEPSY) e incluso disolverse
tras su 4ª demo en el '89. Dawn Crosby más tarde
formó FEAR OF GOD con quienes grabó dos albums antes
de morir en el '96.
Esta edición vendrá
en forma de 2-CD conteniendo dos bonus en el CD1
con versiones regrabadas de dos temas del álbum
(uno de ellos es el tema instrumental "Catalepsy"
pero aquí con las letras originales), realizados
en 2010 y cantados por la actual vocalista Tiina
Teal. En el CD2 hay 19 temas de las 4 demos de la
banda grabadas en el '84, '87 y '89 más dos temas
inéditos grabados en vivo y ensayo en el '85 además
de las 2 únicas demos de CATALEPSY del '87 y '88.
Todos los temas vienen con sonido remasterizado
y presentados con un libreto lleno de fotos de la
banda, flyers, letras y extensas notas de Steve
Hochheiser. También habrá una tirada limitada de
camisetas que estarán únicamente disponibles en
la tienda online de Xtreem Music.
