Three years after its first album "Release the Rancor", one of the most emblematic bands in the Spanish Thasher scene is coming back.
Fifteen years strugglin in the underground, RANCOR have been defending a not too much popular style in the late 90's that stroke back in mid 2000 with a legion of bands thrashing all around.
As the band was doing the first live performances, self made editions appeared. Only with two demos and one EP, the band earns some prestige in the capital due to its solid live shows. Back in those days Thrash Metal started to become popular again and RANCOR was in the headline from the beginning.
As years were passing by, RANCOR got to perform in the main underground festivals playing Release the Rancor material. That was the turning point of their career.
During those years RANCOR shared the stage with bands like UDO, Tankard, Onslaught, Vicious Rumors, Evile, Tygers of pang tang, Destruction, Silver Fist, Angelus Apatrida, Omission, Tyranex, Killem, Legen Beltza, Unsouled, Steel Horse, Aggression, Steelgar among others...
After the exciting "Raining Bombs" EP in 2013, RANCOR signs with Xtreem Music in order to release their long awaited sophomore album "Dark Future".
In this new material RANCOR improves their sound and songwriting with the intention to confirm the band as a Spanish Heavy Metal referent.
Describing RANCORs music could be as simple as saying "Traditional 80s Thrash Metal", in the vein of Slayer, Anthrax, Overkill or Megadeth... but the band also introduces elements of Speed Metal, US Power Metal and some NY Hardcore (because of the choir vocals). Fast Drumming, intricate guitar riffs and an all-around singer (capable to go from shrieking vocals to melodic Heavy Metal singing) are the essentials of the RANCOR sound.
