Here's
the official statement issued by AVULSED
announcing their new deummer;
The drummer's curse
continues in AVULSED and just 15 months
after Rafael Aritmendi's incorporation, he announced
that he was leaving the band upon returning from
the show in Bucharest (Romania), alleging incompatibilities
with his studies, which would prevent him from
being able to compromise thoroughly with the band.
It was completely unexpected news, but we understand
his reasons and we can only thank him for his
time in the band and to wish him the best in his
future projects in life.
And without wasting
a minute, we got in touch with our first option:
Jorge Utrera, drummer in HOLYCIDE,
the band where our vocalist Dave Rotten also plays.
Casually, Jorge played two shows with AVULSED
last December, replacing Rafael due to tendinitis
problems that prevented him from playing. In these
two shows, Jorge proved not only to be an excellent
drummer with technical skills that adapt perfectly
to the needs of the band, but also an excellent
person, whom we have also known for 6 years, and
his integration in the band will be immediate.
Thus, Jorge
Utrera is already, officially, the new
drummer of AVULSED, who will immediately
get down to work with the repertoire for live
shows, but also the new songs that we are writing
for the new album that we hope to be able to record
in late 2020 or early 2021.

anunciando su nuevo batería:
Continúa la
maldición de los baterías en AVULSED
y tan sólo 15 meses después de la
incorporación de Rafael Aritmendi, nos anunció
que abandonaba la banda al regresar del show en
Bucarest (Rumanía) alegando incompatibilidades
con sus estudios, lo cual le iba a impedir poderse
comprometer a fondo con la banda. Fue una noticia
completamente inesperada, pero entendemos sus motivos
y sólo nos queda agradecerle su tiempo en
la banda y desearle lo mejor en sus futuros proyectos
en la vida.
Y sin perder un minuto,
nos pusimos en contacto con nuestra primera opción:
Jorge Utrera, batería en HOLYCIDE,
la banda donde también milita nuestro vocalista
Dave Rotten. Precisamente, Jorge tocó dos
shows con AVULSED el pasado mes de diciembre,
supliendo a Rafael debido a unos problemas de tendinitis
que le impedían tocar. En esos dos shows,
Jorge demostró no sólo ser un excelente
batería con recursos técnicos que
se adaptan perfectamente a las necesidades de la
banda, sino también una excelente persona,
a quien además conocemos desde hace ya 6
años, y su integración en la banda
será inmediata.
Así pues, Jorge
Utrera es ya, de manera oficial, el nuevo
batería de AVULSED, quien de inmediato
se pondrá manos a la obra con el repertorio
para shows en vivo, sino también los nuevos
temas que estamos componiendo para el nuevo álbum
que esperamos poder grabar a finales de 2020 o principios
de 2021.
