5th album from 1999 by this American band and the final studio release from the Michale Graves, Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein, Jerry Only and Dr. Chud era. Released two years after "American Psycho", it cemented the success of the band's 1990s incarnation, further developing a style that blended Horror Punk, Punk Rock and Heavy Metal with a more melodic and accessible approach than the classic Glenn Danzig period.
Featuring strong production and an impressive knack for memorable hooks, "Famous Monsters" expands the band's cinematic side through countless horror and science-fiction influences. Regarded by many fans as one of the defining releases of the Graves era, it captures MISFITS at a creative peak shortly before this lineup came to an end.
