6th album from 1998 by this legendary American Death Metal band and the 2nd to feature George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher on vocals. Released after the acclaimed "Vile", it firmly established the band's new era, proving that the lineup change had not only been successfully overcome but had also contributed to a more mature and sophisticated songwriting approach.
Its sound combines CANNIBAL CORPSE's trademark brutality with more developed arrangements, particularly memorable riffing and outstanding musicianship. More technical and varied than some of its predecessors, the album finds the band expanding its musical scope without sacrificing any of its aggression, resulting in one of the strongest and most representative releases of its career.
