2nd album from 1990 by this New York Thrash Metal band and the final release issued under the NAPALM name before the group later returned to its original identity, COMBAT. Following the path established on "Cruel Tranquility", the band developed a more refined and accessible sound while remaining rooted in American Thrash Metal.
"Zero to Black" blends U.S. Thrash Metal with strong melodic hooks, memorable choruses and occasional Hard Rock and Funk Metal influences. Far removed from the more extreme side of the genre, the album focuses on dynamic songwriting and solid musicianship, revealing a more mature and sophisticated approach than many of its contemporaries.
