Debut album from 1987 by this Canadian Power Metal band from Ontario, released during the golden years of the North American underground Metal scene. Although they never achieved the recognition of some of their contemporaries, they left behind one of the most interesting and collectible recordings from the Canadian Metal underground, earning cult status among devoted US Metal enthusiasts.
Its sound combines the strength of American-style Power Metal with sharp riffing, dynamic songwriting and a darker atmosphere than many of its peers. Powerful, epic and aggressive in equal measure, the album stands out for its excellent guitar work and distinctive personality, making it one of the hidden gems of 1980s North American Metal.
