Vinyl re-issue in red wax of the debut album from 1986 by this Welsh band and an interesting hidden gem from the later years of the NWOBHM movement. Active during the second half of the 1980s, RANKELSON developed a sound that blended Heavy Metal and Melodic Hard Rock, retaining the spirit of classic British Metal while embracing a highly memorable and accessible approach.
"Hungry for Blood" features direct riffing, memorable melodies and strong choruses, supported by solid guitar work and a production typical of the era. Although it never achieved the recognition of some of its contemporaries, the album has gradually earned cult status among fans of melodic and traditional British Heavy Metal.
