Limited cassette re-issue to 100 copies of the 3rd album from 1982 by the American THE RODS, a key release in early 80s classic Heavy Metal, positioned at that transitional point in American Heavy Metal just before the rise of the golden era of Power and Speed Metal. “Wild Dogs” combines powerful riffs, streetwise attitude, and simple yet effective choruses, with a raw and direct production typical of the era.
The album showcases a solid and cohesive band with a melodic yet forceful approach, very close to the NWOBHM sound but with its own identity within the US scene, alternating heavy mid-tempos with faster and more energetic tracks in a balance that is very characteristic of the early 80s.
