Debut album from 1986 by this German band and a hidden gem of 1980s European Heavy Metal. This edition includes 7 bonus tracks taken from the band's 1987 and 1988 demos, gathering virtually all the material recorded during its short-lived career. Formed in 1984 and active for only a few years, BLACK FATE left behind a single full-length that has gradually earned cult status among collectors of traditional Heavy Metal.
"Commander of Fate" blends strong NWOBHM influences with touches of Speed Metal and highly melodic songwriting. Memorable riffs, excellent guitar harmonies and catchy choruses dominate an album that often sounds closer to the classic British scene than to many German releases of the same era.
