4th album from 1994 by this influential American band led by Glenn Danzig, and the final release recorded by the classic lineup featuring John Christ, Eerie Von and Chuck Biscuits. Widely regarded by many fans as the perfect closing chapter of that era, it captures the band at one of its most mature and creative peaks before the major stylistic changes that would follow.
Its sound retains the trademark blend of Heavy Metal, Hard Rock and dark Blues Rock established on the earlier albums while introducing richer textures, darker atmospheres and subtle experimental elements that hinted at the band's future direction. Powerful riffs, a masterful vocal performance from Glenn Danzig and a dense, melancholic mood make this one of the most personal and sophisticated releases in the band's catalogue.
Recommended for fans of: THE CULT, TYPE O NEGATIVE, SAMHAIN and ALICE IN CHAINS.
Unofficial live album, limited to 100 copies on smoke yellow 2-LP with double gatefold sleeve, containing a 20-track show recorded in Draken, Stockholm (SWE) on 06.12.1983
1987 demo recordings from this influential American band led by Glenn Danzig, presented here in an unofficial CD digipack edition featuring 9 tracks taken from the band's extremely rare rehearsal tapes and demos recorded before the release of their landmark 1988 debut album. An essential document capturing the birth of DANZIG and the final transition from SAMHAIN towards a darker Heavy Metal and Hard Rock identity.
The material contains early versions of songs that would later become part of the band's classic repertoire, revealing a rawer, more direct and spontaneous sound than the official studio recordings. Featuring Glenn Danzig, John Christ, Eerie Von and Chuck Biscuits shaping one of the most charismatic line-ups in American Metal, this release stands as a genuine collector's item for fans of the band and devotees of late-'80s underground Metal.
