Re-issue with thick booklet and poster of the debut album from 1982 by these Finnish Heavy Metal pioneers and one of the earliest significant releases to emerge from the Scandinavian Metal scene. Originally issued as "Heavy Metal Heroes" and later re-released as "The Oz / Heavy Metal Heroes", this album laid the foundations for the sound the band would further develop on its classic 1980s releases.
The album blends the energy of the NWOBHM with a melodic and straightforward approach built around dynamic riffs, catchy choruses and a strong British Heavy Metal influence. While the band was still finding its identity, many of the elements that would later define OZ's cult status are already present throughout the record.
